The Vine Therapy, LLC was founded by Laura Wilkes, MA as a center for healing, growth and transition for individuals in Boulder, CO. My role as a psychotherapist is to be a guide and facilitator, as I believe that everyone possesses the power to heal themselves within. Each one of us is already perfect regardless of whatever "mistakes" we make or problems we might view ourselves as having. We are all here to grow, and that usually involves strife and some degree of challenge. Working with these challenges, even learning to understand how they are serving us, frees us up and gives us the information we need to truly move forward. Practicing compassion - with regards to your totally natural and brilliant human path - will guide you towards acceptance of yourself as a whole being. And from this compassionate place, shifts can occur. As a therapist I am committed to assisting people in achieving wellness, self-acceptance and ultimately a healthier, more rewarding path.
The goals of therapy are different for each individual. Some clients have clear specific issues they want to work on, whereas others may simply desire to feel a greater degree of acceptance and love of themselves. We are all able to attain peace and fulfillment in our lives if we are willing to take a look at what has been holding us back and work towards resolving it. What one person may choose is not what another may choose, and I am very enthusiastic about helping you find what is right for YOU. Tuning into your own inner guidance for information, and trusting feelings that arise in you as we explore things in therapy, leads to changes that are sustainable..... because they are coming from you.
