Testimonials
"My daughter saw a handful if therapists/counselors/psychiatrists before finding Laura. She never connected with any of them and that obviously did not help with her recovery. My daughter connected with Laura almost immediately and she always said it was because she felt like Laura really cared about her and listened to her. Laura was the first therapist that really helped my daughter start her recovery. There is no one I would recommend more highly."

"Before I met Laura, I was completely lost and numbed out in a disease I did not even know I was in. Suffering from an eating disorder and severe anxiety in college is such a serious and difficult feat to overcome. At any time in one's life who experiences depression, anxiety or an eating disorder, it is extremely perplexing to grasp the thought of happiness and recovery. However, when one is blessed with the fortunate chance of meeting someone like Laura, the arduous ride and fight towards recovery becomes something authentic and real. Laura has pushed me to want to go beyond what any other counseling or therapy session has encouraged me to do. I will never forget the day I met Laura, and will forever be grateful for her guidance and nurturing persona. My path to recovery is something that Laura has taught me to value and never give up on. I must say that anyone who is blessed with the opportunity to work with a therapist as incredible as Laura will gain a unique appreciation for life and develop incredible self-love that one can keep for the rest of their life."

"What sticks out to me, is that Laura believes no diagnosis is final. When I found out I had a specific disorder, I judged myself, felt ashamed and embarrassed. I remember her explaining that just because you fit the criteria for something doesn't mean you have to stay there. It's all about opening your eyes to patterns and using your awareness to change your thoughts and behaviors. I can say now that I not longer fit the criteria for that disorder. Awareness was the key. Laura helped me realize that the old ways of getting my needs met didn't actually work very well anymore. She helped me learn to recognize my needs and also how to make rational decisions and take care of myself."

"She has changed my life. She really understands me and has never judged the things that I say or feel. Her mind is expansive.. anything I say it seems she can comprehend, and that, in my experience is rare."

"Four years ago I began the journey of recovery. I would call it a fight because at the point I didn't think I had anything to fight for. I was young, confused and sick. Laura's support gave me the space to determine if fighting was something I actually wanted to do. Laura helped me to see the potential of my life and what was keeping me sick. She pushed me, and refused to let me stop fighting along the way. She saw my potential and did not let me stop at "good enough." I would not be able to say that I am fully recovered from my eating disorder if it wasn't for Laura's faith in me. She is an amazingly devoted and caring individual. Four years later I am confident in two things: my recovery and that I will always have a friend and ally in Laura."

"With Laura I have felt heard, validated and understood. I have explored and debriefed on myself and my life in an incredibly safe space. I never understood just how much I could listen to my body for guidance. She has helped me recognize and strengthen my own inner voice and intuition. I have begun to understand just how powerful my choices are. I've gotten to the point where I feel I have the ability to steer my life in any direction."

"I have been seeing Laura on and off for over six years. She helped me, on more than one occasion, get through some of the hardest moments of my life. She is caring, understanding and most importantly, honest. I would not be the person I am today without her."
